This drink should probably be in the margarita section but it really is a unique taste because of the grapefruit juice instead of lime juice. I consider this a much more unique flavor. I made this drink originally for my big sis Vicky because I wanted to experiment with my favorite liqueur Ancho Reyes. This combination of flavors is quite amazing.

Another unique detail in this drink is I like to mix simple syrup with agave nectar. Personally I find agave nectar a bit overpowering but I like the sweetness. So combining it with simple syrup balances it nicely. If its too much trouble then use one or the other but keep in mind agave is sweeter than simple syrup

  • 1 oz Tequila Blanco
  • 1 oz Ancho Reyes
  • 1/2 oz grapefruit juice
  • 1/2 oz lemon/lime juice
  • 1/2 oz (Agave/Simple Syrup combo)
